Central South Island

Beef + Lamb New Zealand helps farmers in South Canterbury, Central Otago, North Otago and East Otago to farm smarter.

Regional events and programmes

Your local B+LNZ team is 100% focused on helping you to get the most from your farm.

Our regional teams are now split into two. One to collect farm survey data to power the B+LNZ Economic Service, the other to provide extension activities like local events, projects and programmes tailored to the needs of farmers in the region.

Whether it's field days, community meetings, farmer focus groups or simply putting you on to the latest on-farm data – your local team can add real value to your business.

Working for you

B+LNZ has a regional structure to make real and effective connections with farmers. In each of the six electoral regions, the local Farmer Council – voted for by you – works with the extension managers and the farmer director to develop an annual regional delivery plan.

Each Farmer Council can choose from a range of programmes and allocate funds based on local needs and priorities. As a result, you get the tools and services that have the most value for your community.
